HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO BE SOBER BEFORE I BECOME GRATEFUL ?

Fear is the most damaging defect of my whole program, it robs me of my spiritual program ,it changes the way I think , it makes me act differant ,and it usally happens when I think I'm going to lose something , or I'm not going to get something I want. It says in the big book that our lives were driven by 100 forms of fear .For me all my decisions were based on fear , if it felt good I wanted more , and if it didn't I ran from it .The more I face my fears and see the results after , the easier I find it to face more of them .

It's very important to tell our doctors, dentist what ever people that can subscribe any medicine for us , to TELL THEM THAT WE ARE ALCOHOLIC . A friend of mine had 2 teeth pulled and the dentist gave him some pain medicine ,HE BEGAN TAKING IT THEN MORE THAN HE SHOULD AND WHEN HE RAN OUT HE DRANK . I brought this up in a meeting and you wouldn't believe how many stories I heard . we promise to go to any lenght, and pain is that.

MADE DIRECT AMENDS TO SUCH PEOPLE WHEREVER POSSIBLE, EXCEPT WHEN TO DO SO WOULD INJURE THEM OR OTHERS .
I showed AL the list and ask him where do I start, he told me to make a couple of easy one's first. The most important thing to remember is that's its your amends not theirs , your here to clean up your side of the street not theirs .He told me something that brought tears to my eyes HE TOLD ME I SHOULD SAY THAT I'M SORRY FOR ALL THE PAIN AND MISERY I HAVE BROUGHT INTO THEIR LIVES , I know that i've hurt alot of people in my life , but when he put it like that, I felt the hurt in my heart for the first time.some of my amends were $$$$$
they were the hard one's to make when your starting all over again but they have to be done or the fear of the mail box will return.
