For me the longer I stay sober the easier alot of these things come easier I drank for 32 years and these principles are the totaly different from my old way of life, I use to get up in the morning and all I could think of was how I was going to drink all day with out getting caught ,planting my beer, how I could make the day easier for me it was all about me , now its not like that I "pray" in the morning to help other people and to be a better person , I go threw the day trying not to be selfesh , self centered and to hold my EGO down thats hard.

AL told me to go back to my 4th step ,alot of the names I needed would be there . then ask myself if there was any other people that I had harmed ,and the most important part of this step is to become willing, to make amends to them all.

OK IT'S POSITIVE THINKING. IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE LOOK AT THE COMMENTS.
This is important coming into the program, but for me I had doutbs
that this program would work for me, I was hopeless ,to far gone ,and to tell you the truth I didn't know if I wanted to change or could change.And there was one phase that really got to me (AND THIS TO SHALL PASS) every time something was going on in my head some one would say that ,then came a time when I knew that if I didn't start getting this program and get off the pitty pot I was going to drink again and soon. positive thinking CAN I DO THIS TODAY YESSS YESSS. I HAVE TO ASK GOD FOR HELP IN THE MORNING ,GO TO A MEETING , AND THANK HIM AT NIGHT.

My sponsor AL says this step shouldn't take to long he ask me if I was tired of being the person I use to be , and would like to be a better person ? I said yes then he told me to ask GOD (as I understand him ) to take them away ,Then he told me I just did step 6 and step 7 . my sponsor told me if I wrote down all my defects on one side of the paper and on the other wrote down the opposite of the defect, on top of my defects write my will and on the other side write down GODS will. now try to aline your will withs GODS will.
