Its been awhile since ive wrote , but i"m still SOBER and in noverber 20 I"LL hve ten years . In my earler messages I told you how I got sober and now I would like to tell you how I stayed sober .
MEETINGS MEETINGS MEETINGS AA AA AA AA AND WITH A HIGHER POWER OF MY OWN UNDERSTANDING THE 12 STEPS .
FOR I'M GOING TO WRITE HOW A AVERAGE PERSON WITH 32 YEARS OF DRINKING AND NO HOPE OF EVER LIVING A LIFE BESIDES DRINKING AND SOME DRUGS TO THE LIFE i HAVE NOW.

Alot of newcomers ask what do I look for in a sponsor , first things I found out when I was looking and some old timers told me , fist look for some one with time 4 years or MORE , pick some one that goes to the meetings you go to alot, make sure they have worked the steps and they have a sponsor and most of all pick some one you think you can TRUST . WHEN WORKING THE STEPS MAKE SURE IT COMES FROM THE HEART .

Some one wrote me and ask me if I was recovering or suffering, well I've been sober now for 9 years worked the steps and I have a sponsor and I sponsor people . I know alot of people in AA that think they have the program down pat no more resentments ,don't get angry any more, ect. ect. and quess what they usally all get drunk.AA is a daily program , people are still people and have problems just like other people , but we have a 12 step program to help us threw them days and we don't have to drink over them and to the person who wrote me I hope you get something from this .and I thank all the people who made this the number one blog for addiction thank you Mike B.

THIS TIME OF YEAR BRINGS BACK ALOT OF FEELINGS SOME GOOD SOME BAD.
But nothing is worth picking up a drink or drug . when we think about the drink we don't think about the consequcences how about a D.u.I. thats not to bad ,BUT when we get one and theres an accident involved and someone gets killed and you get hurt bad , you go to jail crippled are you willing to accept that I DON'T THINK SO .
REMEMBER WE ALL HAVE FEELINGS AND A DRINK ISN'T GOING TO DO US ANY GOOD .
