You are right where you are supposed to be. Sometimes it is hard to define and describe being powerless, but you know how you feel. In the early days of being sober there are a lot of ups and down. Remember that you are getting your balance with life. You never have to feel like this again. As long as you are willing God will keep you sober. Like Bill W. said about Ebby you are growing new roots.
I wish you well. One day at a time be patient with yourself and keep an open mind. When I started I never thought I would make it a week and I have been blessed with 28 years.

Welcom to recovery from alcoholism. I had 3 years of denial, 6 years of in and out with controlled drinking, at least I tried to controll it, and now have what the big book says Gods' will for me is to be Happy, Joyous and Free and almost 20 years of new life behind me. Just remember the pain and the decision to do it AA's way if you want a new opportunity to experince life differently. I will walk the walk with you in sobriety.
